Keith Smith, Webmaster. In this picture, I’m enjoying a margarita in Mulege, Baja, Mexico where I drove my 1928 Model A Ford with a group from the Model A Touring Club -- my other major pastime.

Born and raised until the age of ten in Clarksburg, WV, I have been on the move ever since, finally settling down in Southern California after retiring from the Air Force in 1964. Married in 1943, I have two grown sons

sons living nearby. My wife died in 1996 and I remarried in 1998 to Joann, a member of my Model A Ford club and we have done extensive traveling in our two Model A Fords. She has one son, also a Model A hobbyist and living in our area.

I spent 20 years in the Air Force as a troop carrier pilot, maintenance officer and  flight test engineer (aircraft and satellites). When I retired, I worked for the Hughes Aircraft Company in El Segundo, California for two years on the Surveyor Moon Lander flown from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory facility in Pasadena. I transferred to The Aerospace Corporation, in El Segundo in 1966 where I spent 25 years working on  Air Force space programs. I fully retired in 1989 to enjoy the good life in California.

My interests are reading (history, action fiction, biographies, technical), Model A Fords, computing, photography (still and video), travel, amateur writing, model airplanes and socializing (not necessarily in order of importance, as that is in constant flux and varies with the season).
