The Model A Touring Club’s newsletter, The Milepost, is published quarterly in January, April, July and October. In 2002 it won the Best Special Interest Group Newsletter of the Year Award from the Model A Ford Club of America.

The Milepost contains the latest news about tours pending and provides articles about past tours to tempt members to join in on the fun.

The July 2007 issue contains an article and pictures of The Mosher tour to Alaska, while the October issue details the club Alaska tour just completed.

The October 2001 issue of The Milepost contained an article by Bill Lancaster describing his tour with family and friends to Alaska in the summer of 1998. This article is published here for the benefit of those MATC members going on the Alaska 2007 Tour.

Bill Lancaster was always seeking challenges for himself and his little blue coupe, whether it be the highest mountain, the lowest valley, the most northern or southern point, he was keen for the challenge. At the time the article was published he met life’s greatest challenge and was stricken with a fatal case of brain cancer. Not long thereafter, this good man died. We are certain that our Alaskan Tourists who read this piece by Bill will give him some though as they drive the roads of Alaska in the summer of 2007.
