Alaska – Entry #7

July 6

(07/06/07)

Here are some pictures of our drive today from Watson Lake, Yukon Territory, to Fort Nelson, British Columbia.  We drove 320 miles and most of the day we saw the wildlife shown below.

We saw two bears.  Unfortunately, the only picture I got was in the fog. [Not to worry, Carol, the web master purloined a picture that Janet Malson took and replaced yours.] The Bison were along side the road in several places.  The mountain goats and caribou were along side the road or in the road.

We were the lead car, so we had to really pay attention.  This was one of the most scenic and enjoyable days we have had.  We are off to Ft. St. John tomorrow only some 210 miles.  The weather still changes everyday.  Right now at 9:00 p.m., it is raining!

Talk to you soon, Carol and Ron
